With the Japan East Pass, you can freely travel within designated areas of Japan with greater flexibility but more economy prices.
   
This is a pass that can be used for travelling to Eastern Japan: Akita, Morioka, Yamagata, Sendai, Fukushima, Nigata, Nagano, Tohoku, Tokyo.

 
Applicable Transportation

The JR East Pass is valid  for travel on any JR EAST railway lines including Shinkansen and other limited express (except private compartments or berths), express (some exceptions), and local trains (except the Liner and the Home Liner).
 
Pass holder should turn their Exchange order to JR - East Rail Pass at a JR-East Station within 3 months from the date of issue and before their first departure.
