With Japan Rail Pass, you can freely board almost any train on Japan Railways Group (JR Group) lines throughout the country.

Applicable Transportation

Japan Rail Pass is valid for the railways, buses, and ferry shown belows :

- railways - All JR Group Railways-Shinkasen super express trains (except "NOZOMI"), limited express trains, express trains, and rapid or local trains.
- buses - JR Bus Companies: local lines of JR Bus Tohoku, JR Bus Kanto, JR Tokai Bus, West Japan JR Bus, Chugoku JR Bus, JR Hokkaido Bus, JR Shikoku Bus and JR Kyushu Bus and some of JR highway bus services. The JR Aiport Bus service between Central Japan Airport and Nagoya Station is NOT covered.
- ferry boats - JR Miyajima ferry except "Beetle II" (Hakata - Pusan).

Pass holder should turn their Exchange order to Japan Rail Pass at a JR Station within 3 months from the date of issue and before their first departure.
